The Times They are a Changin'

I have a bunch of stuff going on in my life. I have been trying to deal with all of it and it's ramifications by myself. It doesn't seem to be working. I need help. The best way I know to get the help is to ask. So I have asked....

Today I called (emailed actually) a dear friend who lives close by and asked her to lunch. Even though money is tight.... I will pay for our lunches. For she too is having money issues. But, I need and want her take on what is changing. I need another's ear to listen to me.... rant, cry, be angry and then take the time to tell me their feelings and thoughts.

I hate this alone-ness I am feeling. I live a long way away from my family. I can not cross the border to go and visit them. In April it will have been two long years since I have seen any of them. I miss them especially now even more.

awww. I feel bad for you. It's not fun living far away from family. Do they skype at all? Why can't you cross the border? I know there are some rules when immigrating, but you are here on a permanent resident's visa aren't you?

Is there any way they can visit you?

Any way your friends in blogland can help?

I'm sorry you're having a rough time...My heart goes out to you. If there's anything I can do to help, let me know. I love you, my most favorite Auntie, and I really hope things turn around for you ASAP!! *Hugs*

Cita, loneliness eats one alive from the inside; I so wish I could hug you and tell you it’s going to be ok. Know that you are thought of at least a dozen times each day.

Thanks Ladies.... see today's blog for an update.

CC - no one in the family skype's and most don't have the resources to come and visit. My immigration status is still in limbo, hence the reason I can not leave.

FP - A big hug back at ya my favorite niece! A really big warm squishy one!

L3 - I too love you and think of you each and every day. And, sometimes when I can get out of myself.... I think..... what would L3 do in this situation? And, it helps me immensely, you are an anchor of reason in the sea of my craziness holding strong against the winds and tides.

Little old me...
