The Prettiest Shrub
Graceful and lyrical in it's beauty. Our newest addition to the yard. She's beauty incarnate. An arctic willow.
Picked her up from the nursery yesterday morning about 40 kms away and brought her home to a pre-dug hole. In she went with a good dose of bone meal and some good healthy soil full of worms.
She (notice how I call it "she"?) has developed some curled leaves since transplanting. I believe it's some transplant shock and today I hope to see her unfurling those leaves and settling in.
I will keep you updated on how this pretty lady is doing.
Oh and she is a birthday present from DH to me. Nice guy, eh?

Oh yes, what a dreamy tree she will grow up to be. I love her already and plan to sit under later this summer! Looking into traveling up to see you, Phiddy-girl. Don't hold your breath, hold the thought and maybe, just maybe... hmmmm
