In Honor of June

In June ’tis good to lie beneath a tree
While the blithe season comforts every sense,
Steeps all the brain in rest, and heals the heart,
Brimming it o’er with sweetness unawares.

–James Russell Lowell (1819–91)

Good morning, Starshine, the earth says Hello. We may see 75 degrees today. June is an interesting month for weather here. Hot one day, cold the next 30 degree changes are not unusual. Summer is becoming my least favorite season.

Where the heck is summer??? Come to think of it....where the heck is spring???????????

I am so tired of this weather, especially now that we have turned the pilot light off in our fireplace!!!

L3 and CC,

Do you think this is being caused by the global warming trend everyone is talking about?

Our weather here has been ridiculous. First all the rain in April and May. Followed by the gale force winds for two days which tore shingles off our roof (mild in relation to what some other poor folks experienced) and helped in destroying parts of my loverly vegetable garden.

I am hoping the rest of summer decides to be a bit more normal.
For you both and me!

Little old me...
