I used some grape juice to dye the two eggs I wanted colored. It was the canned juice (not store bought) from the wild grapes I picked last fall, very, very grapey colored. What a deep rich purple the eggs came out as. I also wrote on the eggs with a piece of candle wax. A little hard to see so, next year it's going to be a crayon.
